Site News & Lammy Awards

Hey folks. I just wanted to use today’s post to update you on a few things happening around these parts, and then talk about a project on the horizon in which I may be asking for volunteers.

First of all, I want to thank Amber Sym for this weeks Promoting Horror feature, which if you missed you can see HERE or by clicking the sexy image on the left hand side of this (or any page). It was my most viewed post of all time. Who would have thought posting nearly naked images of a Playboy model would be so popular!?

I would also like to thank my Face Off collaborators John Lincoln, John Mountain, Eric, Puremassacre & Mike. We created a great battle yesterday talking about the movie The Innkeepers, and despite a big gap overnight, the attacking team are putting up a fight and closing in. We still need your votes, so please head on over by clicking HERE or the image on the left (can you see where I’m going with this, promoting my new changes and showing all recent posts as big images on the left! Hopefully they make it easier to see what you might have missed) 🙂

Next on the agenda is something you have more than likely seen on countless other blogs in the past 24 hours or so. The Lammy Awards 2013 are under way and people are out canvassing votes for it. I should really make an effort, if only to recognise and thank the kind people who put my site forward. I’m sure you all know the drill. I would love your votes as much as the next lamb would. If you feel me, my site or my projects deserves your vote, I would be eternally grateful to receive them. But there are so many blogs on the list, and I would be proud to lose out to any of them (well, not really as I feel mine is superior but got to stay humble and that) 😉

Moving on from awards, I am also going to announce my newest project. My hand has been forced on this announcement, as my good friend Nick and I were talking and he mentioned using a similar name for something so I want to get this out so I don’t look like a copycat! 🙂

I made a page for this last week, and a couple of people have already found it. Sneaky! Basically when I asked you all what your thoughts were on podcasts, it was research for my newest project:

Inside The Bloggers Studio

I took the idea from Eric who does some fun interviews with fellow bloggers. I decided to try and do some fun interviews mixing in serious and non-serious questions in a podcast format. Short and sweet, hopefully long enough to make any potential listeners smile once or twice, and not too long to make people not want to even bother. Eric will naturally be my first guest, and that will be recorded and posted once I can work out what and how the hell to do what I want to do. But I will do it, and I know Eric and I will laugh at least! If it works out well, maybe one day I can look for some volunteers to lend their voice and showcase their work. I’m kind of like a poor mans James Lipton. Without the celebrities. 🙂
