I’m going to be a Dad!!!

breaking-news-ron-burgundy

I’m proud to announce that my beautiful wife is just over 3 months pregnant with our first child!! I know that this is a movie blog, but I feel as though some of you virtual cyber friends would maybe like to hear my news. And if not, I’m telling you anyway! 🙂

I read lots of blogs; people telling me what cake they baked this morning, what painting they are working on, what music gig they saw last night and what blockbuster movie they are watching next weekend. Basically a whole world of variety and information. So this is me deviating slightly and sharing some news which I have kept secret for what has felt like an eternity, and literally telling anyone and everyone I can.

Hopefully this will explain to everyone why I have used far too many guest posts recently. Or not replied to your interview/recorded a podcast/finished those reviews I’m working on for you. Every time I try to do them, I decide it’s more fun to google what size my baby currently is (FYI – this week it’s the size of an orange). Now our scan is done, and I’ve seen the most amazing thing I’ve ever helped create, I can start catching up watching films and relaxing, making the most of my free time before it is taken away.

I’ll leave you with a photo of our scan, and for anyone not fussed, normal service around here will resume on Monday. Until then I’m off to find more people to share my news with, and maybe soon I’ll stop smiling. I literally can’t wait to meet Baby Carter, and I’ve never felt prouder than I do right now. Maybe a Lammy win will be even better, but I’ll settle for this little thing.

Okay Tyson, I’ve searched high and low on IMDb.com and I cannot find any movie entitled “I’m Going to Be a Dad”. What genre is this film? Judging from the grainy photo I would assume that it’s a sequel to Apollo 18 although I have no idea why since that movie sucked. Help me out here, man.

Thank you for all the kind comments. This is Mrs. Carter – i like that especially as its the same name as the amazing Beyonce who baby and I saw this week.

Can’t wait till November but slightly concerned Tyson is already threatening to dress the baby up as Billy Doll from Saw, the thing from the grudge and teach it to say ‘Red Rum’. I’m going to counteract this with lots of Disney & Pixar. x

Absolutely everything changes because you don’t look at life the same way every again. Things don’t mean what they meant before you became a parent. Quite probably you won’t have as much time to devote to blogging … at least not for a while. Babies are very absorbing. Time, energy, money, love, sleep … they need it all. Ah, babies. Congratulations. You are beginning the Big Adventure That Never Ends!

Tyson, you’re gonna need a paternity test after the birth b/c rumor has it that Scrotey (Eric Isaac’s best friend and band-member) has been running around with your wife; she couldn’t resist him after hearing his awe-inspiring “Dirty Finger” song that premiered #1 on the Billboard charts in the UK and the US after it premiered at the Shitfest Movie Festival 2013. Word has it that Eric is finally getting a little attention from the ladies, as well, after his masterful tambourine-banging, maraca-shaking, beer-can popping playing was discovered in the mammoth hit – but unfortunately they were just using him to get to Scrotey!

Wait, Maury Povich just texted me the results….Tyson…you ARE the father!

Congrats! I think you’re going to be an excellent dad. 🙂
